When a talented horse isn't performing to their potential, there's a reason.

Sabre Ranch works with performance horses to identify and address the physical, neurological, emotional and behavioural factors that may be limiting performance - bringing Equine NeuroAlchemy directly into training programs and ranches.

For cutting and reining horses experiencing unexplained performance changes, tension, resistance, behavioural issues, difficulty recovering from stress or simply not feeling like themselves.

Send your horse to Sabre Ranch. We'll look at the whole picture.

You've got horses to train. You don't have the time to unravel one horse.

You know when something isn't right.

The horse that has the talent but can't consistently access it.

The horse that suddenly becomes tight, reactive or resistant.

The horse whose performance has plateaued despite good training and professional care.

The horse that's been checked by the vet, dentist, farrier and bodyworker - yet something still isn't adding up.

Or the promising horse you know has more to give.

That's where Sabre Ranch comes in.

I work alongside your existing professional team - not instead of it - to investigate the horse as a whole and help uncover the factors that may be limiting performance.

Beyond training. Beyond bodywork.

Equine NeuroAlchemy™

Performance isn’t created by muscles alone.

The brain and nervous system influence how a horse perceives, learns and responds to its environment. Physical comfort, previous experiences, emotional state, training and environment can all influence the horse you have underneath you.

Equine NeuroAlchemy is my integrated approach to creating change in the whole horse.

Rather than treating training, behaviour and the body as separate problems, I bring together my experience in:

Nervous-system regulation • performance horse training • bodywork • trauma-informed work • remedial saddle fitting • movement • energy work • behaviour

to understand what this particular horse needs.

A horse that feels better, thinks more clearly and is better able to perform the job they were bred and trained to do.

Who gets sent to Sabre Ranch?

The horse that should be better than their results suggest.

The horse that’s suddenly harder to stop, turn, rate or settle.

The horse that anticipates, braces, holds tension or struggles to come back down after work.

The horse whose behaviour has changed without an obvious explanation.

The horse returning from injury or time off who doesn’t feel like the same horse.

The horse that has been thoroughly investigated but still doesn’t feel right.

The talented horse whose mind or body seems to be getting in the way of their ability.

And the horse you simply don’t have the time to unravel while running a performance program.

Meet Hannah Jones BSc, MMCP

Performance Horse Specialist & Founder of Equine NeuroAlchemy

With a BSc in Human Psychology and over a decade of experience as a Masterson Method Certified Practitioner, Hannah brings a unique understanding of the relationship between the brain, nervous system, body and behaviour to the performance horse. Her expertise spans equine training, trauma and nervous system regulation, therapeutic bodywork and remedial saddle fitting, alongside energy-based approaches. Having worked internationally with horses and riders across multiple disciplines, Hannah developed Equine NeuroAlchemy - an integrated approach designed to uncover what may be limiting a horse and create meaningful change in their physical, emotional and performance potential.

"It has been amazing and so emotional to watch his journey with Hannah. He trusts her implicitly and the bond between them is something magical"

Toby who came on a retreat stay

Our lovely boy Toby spent a number of weeks at the retreat with Hannah. His behaviour had changed and the relationship with his rider (our young daughter) had broken down. He showed no obvious signs of injury or pain, but he was not himself. A friend recommended we ask Hannah to take a look at him, advising us she could assess his back, check his saddle and work with him spiritually and behaviourally. It sounded just what we needed.

Hannah worked with Toby offering the whole package whilst he stayed at the retreat with her. He is a totally different pony following his stay. She has worked with him on such an incredible level, looking after not just his physical health but his well-being also.

He is in much better shape, more relaxed, back to his usual self and has learnt some riding manners, he has responded so well to a different approach Hannah has shown him/us in asking things of him.

We as a family would highly recommend Hannah and the services she offers. It has been a positive experience for us and Toby, and means he hopefully has a bright future ahead of him.

Hannah, we are so grateful to you for your unique and incredible skill set. You’ve made a huge difference to Toby and us. You really are so talented. It has been so wonderful to watch your work, with results from that very first week. Your passion for horses and their well-being shines through and I feel makes a huge difference to the results you achieve xx

~ Tess & Toby

About Us

Sabre Ranch specialises in the horse that isn’t responding to the usual answers.

Through Equine NeuroAlchemy, Hannah Jones works beyond the presenting behaviour or performance problem to understand the whole horse - nervous system, body, mind, training, environment and energy - and identify what may be preventing that horse from reaching their potential.
